I've been g'rifting for a while now and I've come to notice as a Healer Monk, the people around me.
SC Monk, SWK, Monk, Healer Monk and zBarb.
Usually in the higher rifts, probably starting at 70 or so; we come to the conclusion to take away our Area Damage Paragon Points.
Due to huge lags from all of the effects plus the EP-Pops.
I, as a healer never take mine away even though I'm told to. Am I rebellious? Nah. I don't see the point. You want me dragging in stuff, you want all of my Mantra's to reach you.
With the zBarb always pulling in, moving forward out of the group to scout for Pylons, monsters and other spots for a spot to start the next attack along with dragging
monsters with the healer and the group.
In this combination I've come to notice these rules.
Skip Yellows. Drag them along if you want.
Pull blues with the team.
Big White Mobs are your target.
Now with dragging along these other elites into the white mobs will soon kill them over time from the EP-Pops.
Skipping Pylons like Shield in the theory of having a better chance of conduct.
Cool Down because it messes with the Monks damage? That's one I personally don't understand.
Saving a Power Pylon near by for the boss.
Running as a team with Conduct; not stopping for elites, just running into the sunset.
Skipping shields and arcane elites. Or dragging them along with the group.
Pooling before the Greater Rift actually starts. Meaning grabbing those EXP Yellow pools from known areas that they would usually be.
Or to use the Cow level which gives around 2-3? I've seen 3 before.
Or the pool quest. I forgot the name but it's something in act 5. Talking to the enchantress and having all of the conversations with her, will give you the quest. Don't talk
to any of ghosts in there. Just search for the pools.
Each set of people have their own ways of doing a Greater Rift.
It's also good to un-socket lower level gems off of other characters that you want upgraded if you're in a rift that you cannot upgrade your own.
This is all of the information I have for now.
