So Just out of curiosity, I was wondering what music every one was in to?
I listen to Classic rock to Black Metal. Progressive Metal more so like Dream Theater, Ayreon and Symphony X but lots of others Avenged Sevenfold, Opeth, Black Sabbath, Cold, Soundgarden, Alter Bridge, Iced Earth, Into Eternity,Weezer, Nevermore (Jeff Loomis is a beast) his two solo albums are instrumental I love them. Tool and A Perfect Circle, Volbeat, Queen, and Queens of the Stone Age, Rage Against the Machine.
Hoping to see some reply's to this one. May see some new music to try out.
Thanks, Heri

I am (but not nearly as much as I used to be) into Progressive Metal, especially melodic stuff - but mostly instrumental bands right now. Here's a few bands I keep going back to that you may also like, you might have heard of some of these guys: Sithu Aye: www.youtube.com/watch?v=rHBi4AkVzbAVildhjarta: www.youtube.com/watch?v=DxpVEnfpQRUCorelia: www.youtube.com/watch?v=12ejFJkU4kkAnimals as Leaders: www.youtube.com/watch?v=SZ2WrN93vnoOH one more: I'm sure you're aware of the band As I Lay Dying and their singer Tim Lambesis who is now in jail for putting a hit on his wife, but he was working on a new side project called Pyrithion which I bet Corey would like: www.youtube.com/watch?v=0z52wDb1jG8

I can listen to basically ALL kinds of music. That's the curse of being a previous DJ. Haha. I am so tolerable of everything now, because I used to have to hear the Top 40 basically every day for six months straight. Ew. I have a bad habit of adapting to the music around me, and this is what I have picked up from over the years of living with different roommates, all the way to now, living with my ever so lovely Defiance. Periphery www.youtube.com/watch?v=jwgJz9WSXUUMaps and Atlases: www.youtube.com/watch?v=XPXUm0hO-GoStreetlight Manifesto: www.youtube.com/watch?v=bNq_SpKih2IEmilie Autumn: www.youtube.com/watch?v=NdzKd7WCs9E (She is legitimately one of the most inspiring artists that I listen to, and I cannot for the life of me remember how I started listening to her.) April Smith: www.youtube.com/watch?v=1UW_yY1a8XwKerli: www.youtube.com/watch?v=XdXvqMF-6vIScouting For Girls (Not too proud of this one, but they have some pretty cute songs.) www.youtube.com/watch?v=SR1HaS3MUY4Serj (I used to really be into politically based music as well, like Rise Against. I haven’t actually listened to any of it in a while, though.): www.youtube.com/watch?v=-CxKA1uETxEBreakbot: www.youtube.com/watch?v=6okxuiiHx2wFall City Fall: www.youtube.com/watch?v=EKPimARoPKkCasey: www.youtube.com/watch?v=gBeAYgZDkyoTatu: www.youtube.com/watch?v=6t5BZcDy1JkThe Elijah: www.youtube.com/watch?v=bYPAYJyb_-IMemphis May Fire: www.youtube.com/watch?v=_F7G8BqvYsUCouer de Pirate: www.youtube.com/watch?v=AjjdR_mDvwAAnd obviously The Holy Guile, AngelMaker, etc, etc. I could go on for days.

I used to listen to Periphery a lot, and started to hate the hardcore/post-punk style of their singer. Their recent double LP is pretty sick though.

BTW Corey, listened to your complete list of bands, comments: Mentioned Periphery above. Really liked Maps and Atlases. Streelight Manifesto reminded me of 16 years ago when I liked ska, nostalgia value there. Breakbot is amazing, need moar 80s vibes. The Elijah - kind of cliche scream/growl vocals overlaying the clean singing, but the instrumentals and band are epic and have undeniable talent, will probably re-visit this one. Memphis May Fire - amazing, for a second I thought the singer was one of the singers from We Came as Romans: www.youtube.com/watch?v=GLjUVQw5R0k (It's not the same dude is it?) Really really liked Couer de Pirate, wish my french was more up to par.

I enjoy all types of music. It really all depends on the mood, and what I'm doing. My favorite artists are The Beatles and Nine Inch Nails (a.k.a. Trent Reznor.)

Three suggestions; Mouse on the Keys, Toe (toe-eh), and Nujabes. Get your Japanese on.
